Jakisa was once a child in our Orphan Sponsorship Program. After losing his father as a young boy, he received an education and other opportunities that helped shape his future. Today, he is the computer teacher at Hope Community Primary School in Uganda, using the gifts God has given him to serve others and invest in the lives of the next generation.

Hanna's story poignantly illustrates the providence of God in the life of one child. God loves to extend his mercy in the midst of hardship, and it is the joy of Covenant Mercies to be the hands and feet of his providential care.

In 2016, Covenant Mercies launched the Mapalo Scholarship Program to assist eligible Sponsorship Program graduates with their higher education pursuits. This video features several of our scholarship recipients sharing how the Lord has transformed their lives and given them hope for a brighter future.

As a young orphaned child, Charles never imagined that his dream of becoming a teacher would become a reality. In this video, learn how God transformed Charles' life of severe hardship into a life filled with joy and hope.

True Africa is a 12"x12" coffee table book (hardcover, 192 pages), available for purchase at www.CovenantMercies.org/TrueAfrica. In the Western world, most of the images we see from Africa lead us to view this continent and its people almost exclusively through the lens of calamity. Famine, starvation, disease, poverty, war; these are the themes we commonly patch together to form our view of Africa. True Africa, the first published work by world-renowned photographer David Sacks, tells the rest of the story. Comprised exclusively of images from our Portraits of Hope collection, all proceeds from the sale of this book will be invested directly into the mission of Covenant Mercies. Please visit www.CovenantMercies.org/TrueAfrica for more info, or to order. The song "Joy", by Stickman Jones, is used by permission.
